Angela Bassett visits Fringe salon in the Netflix movie,Otherhood

We enjoy opening up our cozy salons for the occasional film, photoshoot, or special event. In August 2019 Fringe salon was featured in the Netflix movie Otherhood, starring Angela Bassett, Felicity Huffman, and Patricia Arquette. In the film, Angela Bassett’s character, Carol, receives a Mother’s Day hairstyle makeover for her naturally curly hair at Fringe Salon in Manhattans Lower East Side.

Otherhood is directed by Cindy Chupack, the talented director of another an NYC favorite, Sex in the City.
